《生物化學雜志》歡迎尋求闡明生物過程的分子和細胞基礎的高質量科學。因此，在JBC上發表的論文不僅可以歸為生物化學、化學生物學或生物化學的范疇，還可以歸為生物物理學、系統生物學、RNA生物學、免疫學、微生物學、神經生物學、表觀遺傳學、計算生物學、組學等相關學科的范疇。我們關注那些能夠提供新穎而重要的力學見解的論文，而不是某個特定的主題領域，其結果是JBC確實是跨學科科學家的大熔爐。此外，JBC歡迎描述方法的論文，這些方法將有助于科學家推進他們的生化研究，并將資源用于研究社區。

The Journal of Biological Chemistry welcomes high-quality science that seeks to elucidate the molecular and cellular basis of biological processes. Papers published in JBC can therefore fall under the umbrellas of not only biological chemistry, chemical biology, or biochemistry, but also allied disciplines such as biophysics, systems biology, RNA biology, immunology, microbiology, neurobiology, epigenetics, computational biology, ’omics, and many more. The outcome of our focus on papers that contribute novel and important mechanistic insights, rather than on a particular topic area, is that JBC is truly a melting pot for scientists across disciplines. In addition, JBC welcomes papers that describe methods that will help scientists push their biochemical inquiries forward and resources that will be of use to the research community.
