系統(tǒng)生物學(xué)是一門綜合學(xué)科，它試圖從復(fù)雜生物系統(tǒng)的組成和相互作用的角度來解釋復(fù)雜生物系統(tǒng)的特性和行為。分子系統(tǒng)生物學(xué)是一個(gè)同行評(píng)審的開放獲取期刊，出版高質(zhì)量的研究領(lǐng)域的系統(tǒng)生物學(xué)，合成生物學(xué)和系統(tǒng)醫(yī)學(xué)。編輯根據(jù)稿件的新穎性和廣泛的生物學(xué)意義來選擇稿件。雖然該雜志的主要重點(diǎn)是分子組成及其相互作用，但也可考慮在器官一級(jí)進(jìn)行系統(tǒng)研究。描述大型數(shù)據(jù)集的作品將在一定程度上通過這些數(shù)據(jù)集彼此之間以及與計(jì)算模型的集成程度來進(jìn)行評(píng)判，最終目的是更好地理解生命系統(tǒng)的動(dòng)態(tài)和復(fù)雜本質(zhì)。新實(shí)驗(yàn)方法的報(bào)告也將在這項(xiàng)政策的范圍內(nèi)加以審議。

Systems biology is an integrative discipline that seeks to explain the properties and behaviour of complex biological systems in terms of their components and their interactions. Molecular Systems Biology is a peer-reviewed open access journal that publishes high-quality research in the fields of systems biology, synthetic biology and systems medicine. The Editors select manuscripts based on their novelty and wide biological significance. Although the primary emphasis of the journal is on molecular components and their interactions, systems studies at the organ level may also be considered. Works describing large-scale datasets will be judged, in part, by the extent to which these datasets are integrated both with each other and with computational models, with the ultimate aim to better understand the dynamic and complex nature of living systems. Reports of new experimental methods will also be considered in the context of this policy.
