《非洲地球科學(xué)雜志》自認為是關(guān)于非洲板塊地球科學(xué)各方面的主要地質(zhì)雜志。如果涉及周邊地區(qū)的文件顯示出與非洲的緊密聯(lián)系，它們將受到歡迎。該雜志發(fā)表高質(zhì)量的同行評議的科學(xué)論文。它主要致力于研究論文，但也將考慮與廣泛關(guān)注的新發(fā)展、評論和書評有關(guān)的簡短交流。論文必須具有國際吸引力，并應(yīng)提出具有區(qū)域意義而非地方意義的工作，處理明確和合理的科學(xué)問題。必須避免專業(yè)技術(shù)論文、分析報告或勘探報告。關(guān)于應(yīng)用地質(zhì)學(xué)的論文最好與這些核心學(xué)科聯(lián)系起來，并且必須面向更廣泛的地球科學(xué)讀者。

The Journal of African Earth Sciences sees itself as the prime geological journal for all aspects of the Earth Sciences about the African plate. Papers dealing with peripheral areas are welcome if they demonstrate a tight link with Africa.The Journal publishes high quality, peer-reviewed scientific papers. It is devoted primarily to research papers but short communications relating to new developments of broad interest, reviews and book reviews will also be considered. Papers must have international appeal and should present work of more regional than local significance and dealing with well identified and justified scientific questions. Specialised technical papers, analytical or exploration reports must be avoided. Papers on applied geology should preferably be linked to such core disciplines and must be addressed to a more general geoscientific audience.
