The British Journal of General Practice, the foremost academic journal of general practice in the world, is sent out to over 19 000 members and subscribers. It publishes first-rate, peer-reviewed research papers on topics related to general practice and primary care, as well as editorials, discussion papers, literature reviews, and an extensive correspondence section. The BJGP is the highest rated journal of general practice in the world in terms of both impact and immediacy. It is also rated third out of all British general medical journals in terms of immediacy.
