《計算新興主題的IEEE匯刊》發表了有關計算機科學、計算技術和計算應用新興方面的論文，目前還未被其他IEEE計算機學會匯刊所涵蓋。計算領域新興主題的一些例子包括：綠色IT、合成和有機計算結構和系統、高級分析、社會/職業計算、基于位置/客戶機系統、變形計算機設計、電子游戲系統和醫療IT。

IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing publishes papers on emerging aspects of computer science, computing technology, and computing applications not currently covered by other IEEE Computer Society Transactions. Some examples of emerging topics in computing include: IT for Green, Synthetic and organic computing structures and systems, Advanced analytics, Social/occupational computing, Location-based/client computer systems, Morphic computer design, Electronic game systems, & Health-care IT.
