《生物無機(jī)化學(xué)》雜志的《生物無機(jī)化學(xué)目標(biāo)與政策》是一門包含了生物學(xué)和無機(jī)化學(xué)原理的科學(xué)，近年來發(fā)展迅速。這一領(lǐng)域?qū)�從醫(yī)學(xué)到環(huán)境的許多其他科學(xué)都有重要意義。此外，對金屬離子在生物系統(tǒng)中作用的研究通常涉及相關(guān)化學(xué)的發(fā)展、新的研究方法和先進(jìn)物理技術(shù)的應(yīng)用。JBIC（生物無機(jī)化學(xué)雜志）致力于在國際上推廣這一領(lǐng)域。該雜志主要關(guān)注的是對涉及一個(gè)或多個(gè)金屬離子的系統(tǒng)的理解進(jìn)展，這些金屬離子設(shè)置在一個(gè)生物基質(zhì)中——特殊金屬蛋白和金屬核酸復(fù)合物——以便在分子水平上了解生物功能。模擬自然發(fā)生的生物分子的功能結(jié)構(gòu)和光譜學(xué)的合成類似物也受到雜志的關(guān)注。

A Publication of the Society of Biological Inorganic Chemistry Objectives and policy of the journal Biological inorganic chemistry is a field of science which embraces the principles of biology and inorganic chemistry and which has grown tremendously in recent years. This field has important implications for many other sciences ranging from medicine to the environment. Furthermore studies of the roles of metal ions in biological systems often involve the development of relevant chemistry new methodologies of investigation and the application of advanced physical techniques. JBIC (Journal of Biological Inorganic Chemistry) seeks to promote this field internationally. The journal is primarily concerned with advances in the understanding of systems involving one or more metal ions set in a biological matrix - particulary metalloproteins and metal-nucleic acid complexes - in order to understand biological function at the molecular level. Synthetic analogues mimicking function structure and spectroscopy of naturally occurring biological molecules are also of interest to the Journal.
