作為水產(chǎn)生態(tài)系統(tǒng)健康與管理學(xué)會的官方期刊，水產(chǎn)生態(tài)系統(tǒng)健康與管理促進(jìn)從綜合、多學(xué)科和可持續(xù)的角度了解健康和受損的水產(chǎn)生態(tài)系統(tǒng)(淡水、海洋、河口)的結(jié)構(gòu)、功能和性能。這本同行評議的雜志關(guān)注的是管理實踐的發(fā)展和應(yīng)用，這些管理實踐將保護(hù)、維持、糾正或恢復(fù)這些生態(tài)系統(tǒng)的健康和人類對它們的可持續(xù)利用。水生生態(tài)系統(tǒng)健康與管理認(rèn)識到有必要探索人類社會、生態(tài)、經(jīng)濟(jì)/發(fā)展、政治和環(huán)境之間的復(fù)雜互動。它還鼓勵采用受自然和人為的大氣和陸地過程影響的流域方法。該雜志為評估和討論生態(tài)系統(tǒng)、水生生態(tài)系統(tǒng)研究和管理的綜合方法提供了一個論壇，包括涉及健康、完整性、性能、效率、修復(fù)、自然恢復(fù)、恢復(fù)、保護(hù)和可持續(xù)人類使用的概念和方法。

As the official journal of the Aquatic Ecosystem Health and Management Society, Aquatic Ecosystem Health & Management promotes understanding of the structure, function, and performance of healthy and damaged aquatic ecosystems (freshwater, marine, estuarine) from integrated, multi-disciplinary and sustainable perspectives. This peer-reviewed journal focuses on the development and application of management practices that will protect, maintain, remediate, or restore the health of these ecosystems and their sustainable use by humans.Aquatic Ecosystem Health & Management recognizes the need to explore the complex interactions between human society, ecology, economy/development, politics, and the environment. It also encourages a watershed approach which is influenced by atmospheric and terrestrial processes, both natural and anthropogenic. The journal provides a forum for the assessment and discussion of ecosystemic, integrated approaches to aquatic ecosystem research and management, including concepts and approaches that address health, integrity, performance, efficiency, remediation, natural recovery, restoration, conservation, and sustainable human use.
