美光是一個跨學(xué)科的論壇，為所有涉及顯微鏡新應(yīng)用的工作，或在先進(jìn)顯微鏡發(fā)揮核心作用。該雜志將出版有關(guān)顯微鏡和微觀分析的設(shè)計、方法、應(yīng)用、實踐或理論，包括有關(guān)光學(xué)、電子束、X射線顯微層析成像和掃描探針系統(tǒng)的報告。它還致力于定期發(fā)表評論論文、簡短的交流以及關(guān)于顯微鏡和微量分析當(dāng)代發(fā)展的專題問題。該雜志包含了原始的研究，其中顯微鏡在生物學(xué)、生命科學(xué)、納米科學(xué)和納米技術(shù)、材料科學(xué)和工程方面的知識做出了重大貢獻(xiàn)。

Micron is an interdisciplinary forum for all work that involves new applications of microscopy or where advanced microscopy plays a central role. The journal will publish on the design, methods, application, practice or theory of microscopy and microanalysis, including reports on optical, electron-beam, X-ray microtomography, and scanning-probe systems. It also aims at the regular publication of review papers, short communications, as well as thematic issues on contemporary developments in microscopy and microanalysis. The journal embraces original research in which microscopy has contributed significantly to knowledge in biology, life science, nanoscience and nanotechnology, materials science and engineering.
