實(shí)驗(yàn)室為前沿的、當(dāng)代的雙語(yǔ)研究提供了一個(gè)出口。LAB對(duì)雙語(yǔ)的定義較為寬泛，包括:成人第二語(yǔ)言習(xí)得、兒童同時(shí)使用兩種語(yǔ)言、兒童第二語(yǔ)言習(xí)得、成人語(yǔ)言傳承者的說(shuō)話能力、L2/Ln環(huán)境中的L1磨蝕、成人L3/Ln習(xí)得。實(shí)驗(yàn)室征集高質(zhì)量的原創(chuàng)研究論文，假設(shè)任何認(rèn)知科學(xué)方法來(lái)理解雙語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言能力和表現(xiàn)的心理表征，包括認(rèn)知語(yǔ)言學(xué)、緊急/連接主義、生成理論、心理語(yǔ)言學(xué)和加工帳戶，并涵蓋典型和非典型人群。

LAB provides an outlet for cutting-edge, contemporary studies on bilingualism. LAB assumes a broad definition of bilingualism, including: adult L2 acquisition, simultaneous child bilingualism, child L2 acquisition, adult heritage speaker competence, L1 attrition in L2/Ln environments, and adult L3/Ln acquisition. LAB solicits high quality articles of original research assuming any cognitive science approach to understanding the mental representation of bilingual language competence and performance, including cognitive linguistics, emergentism/connectionism, generative theories, psycholinguistic and processing accounts, and covering typical and atypical populations.
