《水文學(xué)雜志》擁有開放獲取的鏡像期刊《水文學(xué)雜志X》，目標(biāo)和范圍相同，編輯團隊、投稿系統(tǒng)和嚴(yán)格的同行評審。《水文學(xué)雜志》發(fā)表水文學(xué)各個子領(lǐng)域的原始研究論文和綜合評論，包括對經(jīng)濟和社會產(chǎn)生影響的基于水的管理和政策問題。這些包括但不限于地表水和地下水水文學(xué)、水文氣象學(xué)、水文地質(zhì)學(xué)和水文地球物理學(xué)的物理、化學(xué)、生物地球化學(xué)、隨機和系統(tǒng)方面。范圍包括氣候?qū)W、水資源系統(tǒng)、生態(tài)水文學(xué)、地貌學(xué)、土壤科學(xué)、儀器儀表和遙感、數(shù)據(jù)和信息科學(xué)、土木和環(huán)境工程等學(xué)科的見解和方法。并邀請社會科學(xué)對水文問題的觀點，例如資源和生態(tài)經(jīng)濟學(xué)、社會學(xué)、心理學(xué)和行為科學(xué)、管理和政策分析。水文問題的多學(xué)科分析在范圍之內(nèi)。發(fā)表在《水文學(xué)雜志》上的這門科學(xué)與流域尺度有關(guān)，而不是只與當(dāng)?shù)爻叨然虻攸c有關(guān)。其中包括著重于城市水文問題的研究。

Journal of Hydrology has an open access mirror journal Journal of Hydrology X, sharing the same aims and scope, editorial team, submission system and rigorous peer review.Journal of Hydrology publishes original research papers and comprehensive reviews in all the subfields of the hydrological sciences, including water based management and policy issues that impact on economics and society. These comprise, but are not limited to the physical, chemical, biogeochemical, stochastic and systems aspects of surface and groundwater hydrology, hydrometeorology, hydrogeology and hydrogeophysics. Relevant topics incorporating the insights and methodologies of disciplines such as climatology, water resource systems, ecohydrology, geomorphology, soil science, instrumentation and remote sensing, data and information sciences, civil and environmental engineering are within scope. Social science perspectives on hydrological problems such as resource and ecological economics, sociology, psychology and behavioural science, management and policy analysis are also invited. Multi-and interdisciplinary analyses of hydrological problems are within scope. The science published in the Journal of Hydrology is relevant to catchment scales rather than exclusively to a local scale or site. Studies focused on urban hydrological issues are included.
